I’m Grateful – What really matters

Sheri Silk

I recently read an article about Steve Jobs and his last words, I was once again reminded to value the lasting things in life. Conflicts and struggle are temporary. Love, connection and relationships that’s what really matters.

Steve Jobs last words included this statement:

“Treasure love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends.
Treat yourself well. Cherish others.”

I was talking to a lady the other day, who was a widow.  She approached me after hearing Danny share about our travel schedule and how often we are apart. Her advice was, “Spend as much time together as possible” and I agree with her as I really like being with Danny.
Maybe it’s the holidays, maybe it’s this season in life that I find myself in but for whatever reason, I’d really like to get my priorities right.

If you reduced my life down to the things that really mattered to me it’s a pretty small pile: My family, my close friends…they are what really matter.

I’d like to encourage everyone to spend as much time together as possible. To have fun with family and friends, talk about the good things and be thankful!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
