Welcome back to our Unpunishable vlog series!
This week we’re looking at chapter 6, “Discipline in the New Covenant.” In the new covenant, our goal is to learn how to respond to people’s sin, mistakes, and messes with the heart of the Father. Hebrews 12 says that He “disciplines” us—the word is connected to “disciple,” or “learner”—because He loves us. What lesson does the Father want us to learn when He disciplines us? His sole objective is teaching us to willingly restore and protect our connections with Him, ourselves, and others on the other side of our mess. Punishment only discourages us from this lesson. Let’s dive in and learn some of the key components of new-covenant-based discipline!
